Our company has been operating for thirty years in the field of excursions in Cala Gonone, as well as the rental and hire of boats and crafts.
Dovesesto - Agostino Charter Srl is an experienced, tight-knit group with decades of experience under its belt and a boundless love for sailing the open seas.
Our premises are located in the beautiful maritime resort of Cala Gonone, in the town of Dorgali (NU), and we operate throughout the Gulf of Orosei, but also across Sardinia and on some Mediterranean routes.
The port of Cala Gonone has over 15 companies which offer boat trips in the Gulf of Orosei.
What sets us apart from the others?
The fact that you will find 6 different types of boat trips in a single company. This translates into an offer which is perfect for all budgets and all requirements
By following the ROUTE OF THE WILD BLUE with us, we guarantee you:
When you think of a holiday in Cala Gonone, the first image that comes to mind is that of the enchanting beaches of the Gulf of Orosei, its crystal-clear sea and turquoise waters which make this stretch of coast a true paradise.
So you immediately want to go and visit these spectacular places, which can only be reached by sea, by organising a wonderful excursion to Cala Gonone with the various types of boats on which we offer this service to our guests.
When choosing from the range of crafts in our fleet, you can organise your excursion to Cala Gonone with different perspectives in mind, all of which are guaranteed to provide an exciting experience.
We offer a boat trip in the Gulf of Orosei with all the comfort, peace and relaxation you could ask for, offering you the unrivalled professionalism of our staff to allow you to have a pleasant day on the sea.
You may wish to take an excursion to Cala Gonone in the Gulf of Orosei aboard the Dovesesto, a wonderful period sailing ship, with Captain Giampaolo and his crew.
Alternatively, you may wish to board the Tenace - the flagship of the Joker Boat shipyards, a splendidly modern and comfortable 11-metre dinghy led by Captain Mauro. Or you could even opt to experience the Samatos, a beautiful 11-metre motor yacht, captained by the one and only Zio Franco.
You can organise your trip out to sea, taking our eight-metre dinghies piloted by experienced captains and excellent guides.
You can choose your excursion in Cala Gonone by boarding the Nadir motorship, which regularly goes to the Grotte del Bue Marino and the Cala Luna beach.
If you prefer to set sail under your own steam, you can also opt to hire one of our 6-metre rental dinghies, which you can pilot without a boat licence.
Why take an excursion to Cala Gonone with us? Because our mini cruises - regardless of the craft you choose - will allow you to discover the Gulf of Orosei, the heart of the marine park of Gennargentu, in depth and from a range of different perspectives.
A boat trip to Cala Gonone will allow you to sail along the imposing limestone cliffs eroded by the sea and admire up close the alternating rock and forest landscapes, interspersed only with the numerous coves and small caves of the Gulf of Orosei:
Cala Luna, Cala Sisine, Cala Biriola, Le Piscine di Venere, Cala Mariolu, Cala Dei Gabbiani, La Spiaggia delle sorgenti and Cala Goloritzé. On each of our boat trips, you can swim in the radiant and crystal-clear emerald waters. You can take a dip in the bright blue waters of the Piscine di Venere; during the excursion, you can enjoy stops at some of the Gulf’s most beautiful pearls, such as Cala Mariolu, Cala dei Gabbiani, Cala Luna, and all the other wonderful bays.
A boat trip to Cala Gonone in the Gulf of Orosei will give you all the excitement of sailing on the crystal-clear blue sea as if on air, where you can encounter an incredible range of wildlife: falcons, seagulls, doves, and colonies of common shags. The luckier seafarers will be able to admire the tricks of the dolphins who leap up to greet us. One especially wonderful experience is being able to reach the mouth of the smaller caves, before venturing inside and finding yourself dazzled by spectacular light reflections and enticing pools where a dip is de rigueur.
A day with us... a day that will give you the most beautiful mini cruises and excursions to Cala Gonone along with Gulf of Orosei... how can you miss out on this spectacular experience? See you on board!
Once you have chosen which of our excursions to Cala Gonone you wish to take, we meet at box no. 3 in the square of the port (at least half an hour before the scheduled departure time) in order to provide you with your tickets and take you through the contractual matters. The departure and return times are slightly flexible during the season as they are dependent on the length of the days. Please note the excursion hours in the various proposals within the Excursions in Cala Gonone section.
In addition to boundless natural beauty, the Gulf of Orosei also gives us protection against currents and a unique microclimate due to the presence of high cliffs. The cliffs allow us to sail along the coast safely, even on days when the mistral is blowing. Marine weather forecasts are at their most reliable in the 24 hours preceding the trips out to sea. As such, you will have the opportunity to contact us the day before to find out what kind of day you will have and discuss whether you would like to go ahead with the excursion or not. However, some of our vessels are capable of taking on all kinds of weather conditions. So much so that at many points in August, when plenty of other companies were forced to cancel their outings because their boats were ill-equipped to deal with the conditions, we were on the sea enjoying a lovely day with you on uncrowded beaches, as if it were a day in the low season, all in perfect safety and comfort. Should the weather conditions prove prohibitive and dangerous to your safety, you will be contacted in advance by our staff in order to rebook your trip for another day or, if you have paid the deposit and cannot postpone your trip, provide you with a refund.
